How I Got Into Teaching
My journey to becoming a voice teacher wasn't planned, but it was pivotal. I've always been drawn to helping others find solutions, and that translated into a natural ability to guide friends through challenges. This desire to empower others simmered until a chance encounter in the late 80s.

Working at a local artist management company, I saw an opportunity to share my stage experience through performance workshops. While my initial idea wasn't a fit, I offered to help out wherever needed. Fate intervened when the scheduled vocal workshop instructor became a no-show. With eager students waiting, a fire ignited within me. Without hesitation, I stepped up and led the session.

That day became a turning point. Witnessing the impact on those students sparked a passion
for vocal coaching. I embarked on a dedicated learning journey, studying renowned techniques and eventually apprenticing with Jeannie Deva. This experience culminated in a thriving teaching career, including a partnership in her Boston franchise.
While my path has evolved, the core principle remains: helping others unlock their vocal potential. Now, I bring that same passion and knowledge to you.
"It gives you a feeling of great satisfaction and joy knowing that you can reach deep down into yourself, and return, to share that part of you with someone else. This is what it means to be an Artist. As Artists, we have the ability to let people see the beauty that we see; to feel the emotions that we feel. We are the magic makers of the world, weaving our tapestries of thought and emotion, creating positive change in those we touch."
