An ASP, or Application Service Provider, provides software as a service, over the internet. What exactly does this mean? It means that instead of purchasing software and installing it, you simply access our software system in your web browser. While some web based applications can be cumbersome, the AMOS system uses "AJAX" to provide the speed and ease of use of a desktop application. Yet you retain all the advantages of using an ASP:

• Backups: We back up your data every night and intermittently throughout the day.

• Reliability: ASP.MD systems, in general, do not go down. ASP.MD servers are hosted in a datacenter with redundant power, generators, and internet connections. AMOS can be accessed over dial in as well, in the event of a client Internet outage. In general, our clients find that their Internet connections are just as or even more reliable than phone service.

• Maintenance: The AMOS approach is particularly effective for healthcare, where datasets (such as prescribing information or billing codes and rules) change frequently. ASP.MD keeps all coding and prescribing databases up to date, so that system users don't have to think about it. With ASP.MD, you'll never suffer from an out of date application or delayed data again.
